Xuchang

　　Xuchang , also known as liancheng, is located in central henan province, with two municipal districts, two county-level cities and two counties. The total area is 4,996 square kilometers, with a total population of 492.66 million at the end of 2016, with a permanent population of 438.05 million. Zhongyuan city cluster, one of the core cities of zhongyuan economic zone.

Xuchang is located in the "central plains", zhengzhou xinzheng international airport built in xuchang terminal putting-in-service proactively, "four one port" zero distance transfer center basic construction, highway, high-speed railway, aviation as one of the fast transportation system preliminary formation.

Xuchang economic city complete modern industrial system, non-public economy developed, xuchang district and dongcheng district, xuchang three modern city economic development zone, mainly electrical and electronic equipment manufacturing industry, is the national modern machinery research and development base.

Tobacco cultivation has a long history, has its reputation as the "kingdom of tobacco", is the national important tobacco production and processing base and Chinese herbal medicine production and processing base, in 2015 was named the national civilized city.

In February 2017, xu was elected to the key city of PPP innovation in China's major municipal projects.
